great food in a small town!
"After originally trying to get into a restaurant across the street, we got two seats at the corner of the bar at Gilda's -- I'm SO glad we ate here. Our bartendress/server couldn't have been nicer. We totally over-ordered but everything was so delicious that we didn't care: smoked salmon bruschetta, beets and burrata salad, veal meatballs, fried cauliflower, the french fries (and that incredible toasted cumin mayo)... All terrific."

"Went to Gildas on a Friday night, as we had just drove into town late after work from the Saratoga Springs area. Small town, not a lot open that would potentially have vegetarian food.
The menu was varied and well balanced, the 4 taps had variety and the local wineries were represented from what I could see in the case. My boyfriend ordered the burger, which he loved. I ordered the beet salad which was fabulous with both red and golden beets and pickled red onions. Also on the recommendation of the proprietor, the Arancini over the potatos bravas. The Arancini were good, but the sauce they were topped with really made it. Bright and light flavored tomato sauce, chunky and fresh. Will definitely go back and do pizza next time."

"The pie we devoured on a recent Thursday night had a wonderfully light and airy crust that was crispy with a slight char on the bottom. A thin layer of tasty tomato sauce was topped with mozzarella and a few shreds of basil that delivered a terrific burst of fresh flavor. A couple of slices were mostly crust, but the crust was so good we weren't about to pass them over."

awesome little Restaurant
Awesome little homestyle pizza place in downtown Skaneateles. After a long morning of water sports on Lake Skaneateles and a wine tasting, we were ready for a nice lunch.
With dark wooden floors and a crisp white bar with modern decor, it feels upscale from the moment you walk in, but comfortable enough that we didn't feel out of place in our swimwear.
They have two small 2-person tables out on their patio, so we decided to sit there to enjoy the weather. We asked the waitress what was better between the cauliflower and brussel sprouts and she mentioned the sprouts, so that's what we got. We also ordered their special pizza - which had pesto on it (not too strong) and mushrooms. The brussel sprouts are unreal - the way they're cooked and the sauce they're in us delicious...we devoured them! The pizza was also extremely tasty, and the dough wasn't too thick and had a nice crunch.
Service was exemplary and I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner whenever you're in the area!
